BUSINESS STRATEGY
The business strategy of the company is to develop new innovative drugs, based on prostaglandin technology, for different clinical indications. When the candidate drugs have reached clinical phase II stage they will be outlicenced to larger pharmaceutical companies for final development and marketing.
The activities of the company are to a large extent based on outsourcing. The original inventions, chemistry and pharmacology have been made at academic institutions (J. Stjernschantz and B. Resul). The clinical and regulatory activities are pursued directly by the company.
Currently the company is conducting two projects, based on two different prostaglandin analogues, protected by worldwide patents/patent applications. The projects comprise utilization of specific prostaglandins for treatment of Ménière’s disease/tinnitus, and psoriasis/glaucoma surgery. Both projects have reached clinical phase.
